This September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. We stand in support of all sickle cell warriors, their families, caregivers, and loved ones.

Sickle cell disease is a group of inherited blood disorders that affect red blood cells and can cause severe pain, infections, stroke, and other serious health complications. While the challenges of living with sickle cell disease may not always be visible to others, their impact on individuals and families is very real.

Let’s come together to educate, encourage, and support those affected by sickle cell disease. Learning your sickle cell status, understanding the disease, supporting research, and sharing reliable information can all help make a difference.
